Quiz Contest held on 8th July, 2018. To commemorate the birth anniversary of our Founder President Sri Himanshu Kumar Niyogi a Quiz Contest was held on 8th July 2018. The students of class IX, X, XI, XII were the participants. The Nivedita House gave a star performance.
The Teacher's Day was celebrated on the 5th of September, 2018, with a panorama of programmes put up by the students of both morning and day sections. The morning section children arranged a small cultural programme for the teachers. The students of classes VI, VII, VIII also did the same. The 2nd half commenced with a mesmerizing session on Cosmic Marvels by Dr. Debiprasad Duari, Director of M.P. Birla Planetarium. The students of classes IX, X, XI, XII and the teachers of primary and secondary were nonplussed by Dr. Duari's announcement " We exist by chance." the ended with mirth and energy which was escaled with food packets provided by school.
15th August was celebrated in The New Horizon High School with full vigor and enthusiasm . Students of both primary and secondary put up a colourful program after the flag hoisting in the premises by our Vice Principal Ms Rina Chatterjee. The student then were taken to the Aurobindo Bhavan to pay homeage to The Mother and Rishi Aurobindo.
At BLAZING HORIZONS, the 1st reunion of The New Horizon High School on Sunday, 23.09.2018. A commendable initiative, indeed, by former New Horizonites. Many old/retired teachers were present and felicitated.
The students of class VII to XI of The New Horizon High School were taken go to St Paul's Cathedral Church, Victoria Memorial and Eco Urban Village. They enjoyed themselves to the fullest in the lush green fields. And learnt about many things in Victoria Memorial. The teachers were equally glad to enjoy with them.
A handwork competition was organised by Fevicryl at The New Horizon High School on 24th of January 2019. The students of class VI to IX showed their creativity not in papers but in designing handkerchiefs.
The years most awaiting programme Saraswati Pujo was held on 10th February. It was a special day for class 10 as they were bestowed with the responsibilities of buying the goddess and doing all the decorations. Not only them but the teachers also drew beautiful alpanas. The children in beautiful traditional attire's looked colourful. The day ended with the mouthwatering bhog and Adda with the seniors.
